Volunteer

Volunteering is essential to the American Red Cross. We work within the community, state, nation, and world to help prevent, prepare and respond to emergencies. We need your help to help others.

Disaster Volunteer

Red Cross volunteers provide food, clothing, shelter, counseling, and medical assistance to families in need. We train you to know what to do.

Health and Safety Volunteer

We train you to save a life, and to teach others to save lives also. You can become certified to teach CPR, First Aid, Youth Swimming, disaster training, HIV/AIDS education, and other injury prevention skills.

Community Outreach

You can represent the Red Cross at community and corporate health fairs. Be a speaker to promote volunteering or the American Red Cross and the services it provides.

Other Opportunities

If you possess other skills that could be utilized at the Red Cross such as Public Relations, Fundraising, Computer and Office skills. Help Plan Special events, develop programs,

Monetary Donations

The American Red Cross is not a government agency and all Red Cross disaster assistance is free thanks to the generosity of people like you. The value of your donation is increased by the fact that the ratio of volunteer Red Cross workers to paid staff is almost 50 to one.
